I'm already 40 years old. I have some Japanese friends, but I don't have any foreign friends. Why is that? Language Barriers Of course, language is a problem. Many Japanese people, including myself, struggle to speak English. If I were able to speak English more naturally, it would certainly be easier to make foreign friends. Language limitations are the main reason. Cultural Differences The second reason is cultural differences, particularly humor. I don't really understand what makes them smile or laugh, and that's a significant challenge for me. Fear At the root of it all is fear. I'm naturally shy and hesitant to approach people. I often find comfort in Japanese anime, like Evangelion, which resonated with me during my teenage years. Overcoming this fear is something I'll keep working on.
I rarely write blog posts in English, but I’m trying to do it as a way to create business opportunities and share my vision with the world. Is it impossible? Not at all. Bing Copilot is like a magical writing partner always by my side. My best practice so far: Write a blog post in English Translate it using Google Translate or Bing Translate Proofread it with Bing Copilot I think it’s totally fine to write blogs this way. The only downside is the lack of feedback—sometimes it feels like I need a teacher.
